Special Education

There appears to be an increase in special education programs in American public schools.

CHILDREN AND VIOLENCE

Education and parenting today, more so than in the past, must concern itself with the whole child. One issue that affects the development of our children is violence. There is violence in our schools, neighborhoods, in the media, and in our families. You can't turn on the news and not hear in the first few minutes some violent incidence that concerns children. This morning as I prepared for my day, there was an account of a baby, less than a year old, that was beaten and tortured by his parents, and was now in a coma.

If this child lives, what hope does he have for a normal life?
